The Spell feels fast, domey and stable. The wing of this disc has a slight bit of slope, pushing the parting line right down the middle. My disc is in suplerglow diamond, and can best be decribed as Gstar meets champion. Gateway never ceases to suprise me with their plastic blends, and this batch doesn't disappoint. Slightly tacky with a little bit of flex, this plastic is great. While I have noticed flashing issues in the past, this mold is clean and clear of those rough little edges. It boasts flight numers of 12 5 0 3 pushing it into contention with Destroyers, Bosses, Defenders, Forces, and Rives. I look forward to throwing it alongside some of these to see how it compares.
The Glow
Glow Leagues rule in my region as soon as the "ber" months roll around. As a a purveyor of glow plastics, I can say with certainty that Gateway Diamond Superglow is among the top. I know they have reworked their blend in the last year or two, and it shows. It's not MVP level but it is fantastic, and can light up the area surrounding it.
First Throw impressions
True to it's numbers, when the spell is thrown at speed it pushes pleasently straight before reliably fading left with good glide. When thrown slow this thing is overstable and and can be used for tons of utility shots. It most closely resembles the Raider in my bag. I would put it as a slightly more overstable than my Forces and Rives, and quite closely resembles new Destroyers and Bosses. If you looking to change up that slot in your bag, the Spell is a solid offering. Not usually know for their high speed molds, Gateway has definitely put out a solid driver.
