Some friends and I are starting a tradition this year. We're taking something that we have historically done at random points in the year and making a January challenge, or a Branduary Challenge. We usually pick a brand we dont know as much about or haven't thrown a ton of, and exclusively throw their plastic for a month. I can't speak for everyone, but I really enjoy putting a new bag together, with new discs and new molds and trying to make my game work with them. It is a ton of fun and I usually come out of the experience with a few new favorite molds and some new approaches to my usual courses. To me this kind of thing embraces the "it's not the tools, it's the craftsman" mentality.

How do I afford a bag of new molds for this silly challenge?

I don't. My friends and I tend to borrow and lend out discs to each other, we dig through used bins, and wheel and deal so nobody is investing a fortune. I have between $30-40 in this bag right now. With a little planning and good friends, you can make it work of any budget.

Is 100% one brand for one month?

No, its not that serious and we are just doing a fun challenge, so we go as hard as each of us feels like going.

This Branduary I'll be throwing exclusively Prodigy. I have bagged a couple of their molds in the past and I'm excited to sample more of their stuff. As of today my bag is cobbled together what I and some friends had laying around, and is as follows

If you have a Prodigy mold you love let me know so I can try to get a hold of one!

Happy New Year! And Merry Branduary
